Phineas Peppertorch

Phineas Peppertorch was the golden boy of the family—charming, ambitious, and effortlessly magnetic. He received his education from Oxford where he was dazzled by the school gardens. After returning home, he oversaw the development of the now iconic Peppertorch hedge maze.

Phineas died at the very heart of the estate’s hedge maze. It took me hours to find him, the winding path went up, left, down… and so on until I arrived at the fountain. Only by following the exact direction of all his steps from the entrance to the fountain did I piece together the truth.
